Why were some of the people so discouraged with the new temple (v 3 cf. Ezra 3)? What things do churches get discouraged about today that ends up stopping ministry?
How does God encourage his people in verses 4 and 5?
How do we encourage ourselves to continue being faithful in service to God when we are discouraged? When it seems like no one cares or appreciates our efforts?
The people doubted what God could accomplish through this new temple. How does God answer them in verse 9 what does that mean for us and our work for the Lord?
