Begin with a prayer asking God for help in understanding and applying His Word to your life. Then read the passage from Galatians 6:11-18.
Investigate
- What does verse 12 tell us about what the Judaizers want most in life?
- How is this different from authentic Christianity (vv 14-15)?
- How do verses 14 and 15 give us a summary of the whole letter?
- In verse 16 Paul encourages us to “follow this rule.” That is, to live by the Gospel of Christ crucified. What four things does living like this produce (vv 16-18)?
- Why are each of these four things a consequence of loving and living for Jesus?
Apply
- How would you sum up the letter of Galatians in a sentence? (You can’t just say verses 14-15)
- In what ways have you been encouraged and challenged by our time in this book?
- After studying this book, how are you going to live your life differently?
Discipleship is the process of growing in love for Jesus and His Church over the course of a lifetime demonstrated through obedience, perseverance, and submission.
